Have you ever been so enthusiastic about something that you are so eager to do it yet obstructions just pop out in front of you? Like when you were persuading your mum to allow you to marry your whore of a gf. Or convincing your dad to let you use his car even tho he just got it fixed last week thanks to you? Well it happened to me. And no, it wasn't my fault that it screwed up, it was...bad luck.
Story's this. Darrel and I decided to meet up at 11pm yesterday and go talk to this LAN shop (cyber cafe if u duno wat it means) bout space to put a foosball table. Turns out darrel spotted the place when he was walking past and thought he struck gold. The place was spacious, had a front display window, convinient and most importantly, smoke and alcohol free. Shit, how good is dat? Tell me how many foos centers in malaysia are like dat? Rileys? AC? No way. The cost for a game of foosball is not only rm2 u put into the slot, its also your lungs. At peak times, u even nid night vision to see wats going on the table. Not saying that this is bad but its just the way it is in malaysia. But here, its smoke free. Imagine happy little teenagers like me wanting to foos and even more encouraged to go coz of this. How many times have u been wanting to foos, but your frens turn you down saying, 'Not now man, I will die from all that smoke.' Maybe not you, but certainly me.
Anyway, we walked in and we requested to see the manager. His name was josh and he was korean i think. Then Darrel started telling him our motive. The deal is basically this. No time limit. Darrel handles the maintainence (means me too T.T i know he's gonna get me to do it next time), he moves the table and at the end of each month, he splits the money box. 30% to josh, 70% to him. Josh doesnt have to pay a cent. Geez, thats a good deal. Free money. Who wouldn't want?
Here's the catch. Josh so called LAN shop is not like your average LAN shop. No its nothing like inferno, warnetX or horus. It's quiet. Yes, its quiet. No one like plays games there. Or so i think, cause only a few people were there and they were...old. Probably the were gaming, but they sure were quiet gamers. (NO ben, they dun go OH MAI GAWD XD) Josh, in his attempt to informing us of his cafe's 'specialty' (weirdness if u ask me) even stopped at one moment and said 'listen to the music' And we did. Guess wat we heard. F**king Mozart at the background. OH MAI GAWD (expression borrowed) We tried to convince him that foosers arent a rowdy bunch and he used me as an example of a quiet learner . (Yeah i look like a good boy)But convincing Josh was like convincing an atheist that God exists. After that, we knew there was almost close to zilch hope, so we left contact details and left. Saddened, but not beaten.
So there you go. Its like striking gold at ur house but u cant get it coz the government thinks it too NOISY to open a mine in a residential area. Probably not malaysians, they will just do it. Greedy us XD. Sigh* That might be our last chance of getting a convenient, influence free place to foos. And that might be my last chance of foosing this weekend. Darrel , you better come up wif sumthing this weekend. I nid practice. Even if that means giving Charmaine a visit to her un-maintained cut throat $2 a game tables. Yeah, I am serious. So i gona start saving up now and go cook mi goreng for lunch while i dream and yearn to see the fields of green and the men of black and yellow~
